Flowers and Leaves are my Passion

I was excited and inspired by the encaustic work of fellow encaustic artist Carolyn W. Rodrigue. She uses fresh leaves covered with oil stick and prints them onto a wax surface. The result is my “Gardenias in Wax,” below.

After I finished this piece I grabbed a dry leaf and heated it into the wax. From then on, it told me what to do. Shown below is Autumn Waxing.
